Oh wow. What a day! Short story short because, well, it was short. We went to the hospital and checked in around 11:30am. An hour later the doctor came and broke my water and the nurse started the pictocin (?). Told me it'd take awhile and I could have the epidural whenever I wanted and walked out the door. I figured I would wait for a few contractions and then get it. Well the contractions kicked in a little faster than I and everyone else anticipated. It was just me and Dann in the room and well, Ava was ready! Apparently I went from a 4 to a 10 over a span of maybe a half hour. These are statements I remember hearing:
"She's a 10 and the baby is there" (oh man)
"We need the doctor in here" (good idea)
"No time for the epidural" (oh $&*#)
"We're going to have to catch this baby" (did you just say catch this baby?)
Needless to say, the doctor didn't make it (he was just downstairs) and they caught Ava (thankfully). Never did I ever think I'd have a baby without the epidural. I was always the one who thought girls were nuts who wanted to do it by choice. I'm glad it went quick and she was small, more importantly safe and healthy.
Here she is!!
Bindi meeting little sister for the first time! She was so excited and was so cute with her. Let's see how long this lasts!

Oh Brooke, she is adorable. I love the picture with Bindi seeing Ava for the first time - the look in Bindi's eyes says it all. Congratulations! I'm so happy for you. I would love to come and see you when things calm down a bit.

Brooke, 1. She is gorgeous! Love all that hair. 2. You are NOT supposed to look that beautiful after having a baby and 3. I can't believe you did it naturally...the hospital staff would have seen a really nasty side of me. Congrats!

Good work Brooke! I seriously thought it was a joke when Dannon sent the picture saying she was here...but it was NO joke! She is so cute and I feel like I am already her favorite aunt.
I never really believed you were even pregnant. There was no proof. I still don't believe you had a baby. No epidural my eye.
And why are all your made up babies so tiny?!! Why do you get tiny made up babies and I have lardo real babies?
