From SEALs Playground to God's Holy Ground

The beach on Coronado Island is beautiful! We rolled up quite early and made our fort on the beach. While we were getting stuff unpacked, we noticed some of the SEALs were training and running down the beach with all their gear on. We've been reading and watching a lot of things about the SEALs and really appreciate the things they do for us so we thought it was pretty cool. Also saw some very up close and personal aircrafts coming in for landing.
Couldn't have asked for a more perfect beach day. The kids got right to work and started building sand castles. Everyone was enjoying the sand, water, chasing birds, the great company, people watching, snacks, kids laughing, and making sure everyone enjoyed the water. I wish I had more pictures but mom(I) was too busy having fun body boarding:) So the picts are from when we first arrived because that beach Bindi is playing on was packed with people soon after the picture.






It's been neat to visit temple grounds whenever we have the chance to while on vacation. I love going and seeing the beautiful grounds and I love taking the girls and showing them the temples. I try to take pictures of them around the grounds and by the temple but it is an extremely hard task! That is the only picture I could get with the 2 of them together, and I'm lucky to get that! The San Diego temple is a beautiful temple and as we were walking around we saw a good size youth group going to do some work. It made my heart smile:)







Sadly this was our last full play day in San Diego. The next day we visited "the office" beach one more time and off we headed for Las Vegas. But this time we did Vegas right and went to the Claim Jumper for dinner and enjoyed some good dining! After that we headed to our hotel and finished our journey home in the morning. Our trip was a blast and it was wonderful to spend it with family. Beki and Mark went above and beyond to make it special for all of us and it was that and more!
